Homestead Art Quilt
This piece was inspired by a photo of my friends family homestead in Saskatchewan. Measures 32.25″ wide x 18″ high.
Chill In The Air Art Quilt
Paid tribute to the elegant structure of a maple tree. The plain winter sky lets the pattern of the trunk and branches sing. Measures 27.7″ wide x 31.5″ high.
Tribute to Beatty Pumper Art Quilt
A tribute to the Beatty Pumper Windmill manufactured by the Beatty Brothers company between the 1920’s and 1930’s in Fergus, Ontario. Techniques include piecing, fabric collage and machine quilting. Measures 36″ wide x 25.5″ high.
Collage Pinecone Art Quilt
A fabric collage inspired by natures architecture. Techniques include fabric collage and machine quilting. Measures 31.5″ high x 36.25″ high.
Balancing Act Art Quilt
Represents colourful balls sitting on or below small pine shelves. Measures 42″ wide x 41″ high
Overcast Birch Trees Art Quilt
Represents a stand of birch trees on an overcast or windy day. Techniques include improv machine piecing and quilting, as well as raw edge applique. Measures 42″ wide x 51″ tall.
Jewel Box
I played with improv quilting and cut out a jewel for each of the diamonds. Northcott fabric designed by Elaine Quehl, “Poppy Passion”, was the inspiration for this colour palette. Poppy Passion is the red printed pattern in this selection. Making improv blocks can be so addictive!
Leaf Gazing
My inspiration for this quilt is the feeling of laying down and gazing up into a forest canopy.
Birdland
Here is my new quilt called “Birdland”. This tree is a fun community of birds and birdhouses with a garden underneath. A pattern will soon be created and available at Etsy.com (store name – BethsQuiltWorks). The quilt will also be available for sale on my Etsy Site.

Carole’s Birch Trees Art Quilt
Commissioned custom quilt made for Carole to be hung over her fire place. Measures 36″ X 32″. The quilt was made using the same techniques as my Land of the Silver Birch pattern available on Etsy. All the fabrics used are available from Northcott.
Spruce Tree and Flying Geese Art Quilt
This is a pieced background using traditional flying geese blocks, with a raw edge appliqué spruce tree silhouette.
