My journey as a quilter started in 1987 when I moved to Winnipeg and decided to take an interest course. Quilting very quickly became an important part of my life. The colour and textures created in quilts have captured my imagination.

I currently create art quilts, write quilt patterns and present trunk shows at local quilt guilds. I enjoy teaching at local guilds and quilt shops. The opportunity to create a commissioned quilt is always a fun challenge too.

I’m also thrilled to be the long-arm quilter out of the Maker Savvy studio on Hazeldean Road in Kanata. Come visit me in the store anytime during the week on the following days – Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

My art quilts and patterns are available at a number of local shops as well as in my Etsy store. You can view my gallery here online and see my shop on Etsy.com named “BethsQuiltWorks”.

I have been published in several quilt industry magazines including Canadian Quilting Association (CQA) and Art Quilting Studios. My quilts have won awards at the Calgary Stampede and have been juried into the Canadian National Quilt Show, Kanata Civic Art Gallery and Houston International Quilt Festival.

While I treasure traditional quilt designs and techniques, I also enjoy exploring more contemporary designs and creating new techniques. Nature and celebration of Canada’s natural and cultural heritage are inspirations for my designs.

What My Customers Say:

“Wonderful seller! Very detailed pattern and she will answer any questions you might have.”

We purchased a gorgeous quilt from BethsQuiltWorks and we were so pleased! The colours are beautiful and the craftsmanship is outstanding. She was very communicative and the package arrive just when she said it would. I highly recommend items from Beth. You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful quilt! Speedy arrival, looks just like the photo, and lighter weight that I excepted, which is going to make hanging it that much easier. Thank you for your lovely work!

“Very nice pattern…just what I was looking for.”
